I first saw The Cosmic Dead live in 2011; since then they've gained a lot of traction, before disappearing off this earthly plane as of 2023; ‘Psych is on Hiatus..’ then?..... This 2017 live show offers variations of their ‘Psych is Dead’ LP, heavy sonic explorations, like if Hawkwind hadn’t fell down a New Age rabbit hole. ‘OMJ Nuraghe’ is great, initially reminding me of early Mogwai, with its indecipherable spoken vocals, before the Psych throb and Acid bombast takes over.
